Hey there. Normally I wouldn't make a comment like this but you asked for a critique:

It appears (and correct me if I'm wrong) that you duplicated the background layer in photoshop, set the background to greyscale, and then used the eraser tool or selection wand and erased or deleted the color layer. That or you just painted with the Desaturation tool. The reason I say this is because if you look along the edges of the model, you can see a faint aura of coloration. If this is on purpose, note that the effect is easily mistaken by other photographers or Photoshoppers for a bad Photoshop job. It might not be having the intended effect.

In Photoshop 5.1 (and previous versions, I think....but never ever quote me) there's a tool called the Magnetic Lasso tool. It works absolute wonders in trying to grab those edges on a manipulation like this one. (Forgive me for being pedantic if you knew about this already).

Overall, though, the shot itself is great. Composition is nice, the concept and execution are great. Model and dress choice are stellar for the scene and the pose lends a little interest to the shot, more so than a simple straight on portrait would have, I think.

The only other thing that jumps out at me is the background seems to have lost a little depth when you converted to greyscale.
